Consultations Crafted for You

Personalized sessions ensure you leave with growth that revitalizes you and your practice

Why Consultation?

High-quality consultation creates the conditions for deeper clinical clarity, stronger case conceptualization, and more attuned work with clients. It is an investment that carries far beyond the therapy room, shaping how you show up, how clients experience being understood, and how your practice grows as a result. This level of development naturally rewards itself: clients feel more supported and stay engaged, you feel more excited about your work, and you are able to align your services accordingly with the value they deserve. Simply put, when you know better and can do better, it translates into how your practice—and clients—thrive.

I offer consultation for clinicians at all levels who want to strengthen their skills in areas such as trauma-informed care, eating disorder treatment, dissociation, complex clinical presentations, and culturally responsive practice. This is a collaborative, strength-based space shaped by your real cases, questions, and growth points.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Areas of Consultation

I’m Kathrina Cann, a licensed psychotherapist, Board Approved Supervisor, Certified EMDR Therapist,™ EMDRIA Approved Consultant,™ EMDR Training Facilitator, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Inclusive Eating Disorder Specialist–Consultant, and Certified School Counselor.

I am the founder of Nourished Minds Therapy & Consulting and regularly present, teach, and speak on topics including trauma, dissociation, eating disorders, identity stress, neurodivergence, and culturally affirming care. My counseling and teaching background also includes work in community mental health, university and school settings, and District level support within Orange County Public Schools. Throughout these settings, I provided direct services to youth, adults, and families experiencing a range of mental health and academic struggles, and supported program development, implementation, and staff training to better meet the needs of the communities we serve.

My work is grounded in both clinical practice and ongoing involvement with research and counselor development. In returning to UCF for doctoral training in Counselor Education and Supervision, I have the ability to remain actively engaged in advancing how clinicians are prepared to work with complex trauma presentations and applied practices that reflect diverse client experiences. I have a genuine love for the learning process and believe it is a privilege to teach and be taught throughout all phases of life. Supporting students, clinicians, and programs on building their confidence in therapeutic practice and innovating healthcare approaches is truly an honor! I recognize having a warm, non-judgmental space is key to the growth process, and prioritize ensuring my consultees leave feeling motivated, hopeful, and inspired to use what they've learned in our sessions.

My approach to consultation integrates clinical depth with real-world application, supporting you in moving forward with a clear, sustainable sense of direction. Each session is personalized to your goals, needs, and client population, and actionable feedback is provided in each consultation.

The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.
